LS3 6.2L V8 ENGINE
The 6.2 Liter LS3 V8 — standard in coupe and convertible — produces an SAE -certified 430 horsepower at 5900 rpm and 424 lb.-ft. of torque at 4600 rpm. Power output is even higher with the available dual-mode exhaust system with 436 hp at 5900 rpm and 428 lb.-ft. of torque at 4600 rpm. Yet the engine achieves a remarkable EPA estimated 26 MPG highway with the standard six-speed manual transmission. Even with its impressive performance, the engine does not incur a federal government gas-guzzler penalty.

The Z51 Performance Package (available on coupe and convertible) provides a lateral acceleration capability of .98g on the skid pad. The package includes:

Corvette convertible offers a power top available on 2LT, 3LT and 4LT. The top and tonneau cover cycle up or down in 18 seconds without the driver ever leaving the cockpit. A bulkhead helps block road noise and creates a fully enclosed trunk that accommodates two golf bags. The convertible rear window has a built-in heating element for excellent visibility. In addition, the top features an easy-to-use, single-latch release.
